What is a pod system?
A pod system is a small vape made of two parts: a battery body and a pod. The pod holds the e-liquid and, in most designs, the coil. When the coil wears out or you want a new flavour, you replace or refill the pod instead of throwing the whole device away. That is the main difference from a disposable, which is sealed and discarded when empty.
Pod systems sit between disposables and larger box mods. They are more compact than a mod, simpler to run, and much cheaper to keep running than buying a new disposable every week or two. Kits range from slim, cigarette-style devices to higher-wattage pod mods with adjustable power and larger batteries.
MTL or DTL: which draw suits you?
The two draw styles are the biggest factor in choosing a pod system, so decide this first.

How to choose a pod system
- Pick your draw first. MTL for a cigarette-like feel, DTL for bigger clouds.
- Check the battery. Larger mAh means longer between charges. Most modern kits charge over USB-C.
- Look at the pods. Confirm replacement pods and coils are in stock for that exact model, or you will be stuck with an unusable device. Browse replacement pods and coils before you commit.

What else you need to buy
Most kits include the device, a pod and a charging cable, but not e-liquid. For a refillable pod system you will need a bottle of e-liquid. Nic salt liquids, which are smoother at higher strengths, are the usual match for MTL pod kits; browse saltnics. Lower-strength freebase liquid suits larger DTL kits. If your device takes pre-filled pods, choose the pod that matches your model exactly. Keep a spare pod or coil on hand, since coils wear out with regular use.
Caring for your pod device in UAE heat
Keep the device out of parked cars and direct sun, where heat can thin the liquid, cause leaks and stress the battery. Charge with the supplied cable or a standard charger, and do not leave it charging unattended overnight. Rinse and dry the pod area if liquid builds up, and replace the pod or coil when flavour turns burnt or weak. Stop using any device that is swollen, leaking or unusually hot.
Nicotine strength and UAE rules
The UAE technical regulation for electronic nicotine products, UAE.S 5030:2018, sets a maximum of 20 mg/ml nicotine for e-liquid sold in the country and expects Arabic and English health warnings and a 21+ mark on packaging. Some international products are made in higher strengths for other markets, so always compare the strength printed on the product with what you intend to buy.
