Freebase or salt nicotine

The single most important choice is the type of nicotine. Freebase e-liquid is normally sold in low strengths such as 3mg or 6mg in larger 60ml to 120ml bottles, and it suits higher-power devices with an airy, direct-to-lung draw. Matching liquid to device

Getting this pairing wrong is the most common mistake new vapers make. High-VG liquid in a tiny pod will starve the coil and taste burnt. High-strength salt nicotine in a 60W sub-ohm tank will be unpleasantly harsh. As a rule: low-power pod devices take salt nicotine at higher strengths, and higher-power tanks take freebase at 3mg to 6mg.

PG and VG explained

Propylene glycol carries flavour and provides throat hit; vegetable glycerine is thicker and produces vapour. A 50/50 blend suits pods and mouth-to-lung devices, while 70/30 VG-heavy blends suit sub-ohm tanks. The ratio is printed on every bottle.

UAE nicotine limit and excise

E-liquid sold in the UAE must not exceed 20 mg/ml of nicotine under UAE.S 5030:2018, and bottles must carry bilingual health warnings and an 18+ mark. From 1 September 2026 a minimum excise price of AED 1 per millilitre also applies to liquids used in electronic smoking devices.

Storage

Keep bottles upright, sealed, away from sunlight and out of reach of children. Darkening over time is normal oxidation of the nicotine and does not mean the liquid has spoiled.
